ALL HALLOWS' EVE

It's that time of year again...HALLOWEEN! I absolutely love Halloween, as most people do. I'm staying in this year and passing out candy for the first time. I've been alive for 18 years and I've never passed out candy before because I either lived out in the country (where no sensible kid comes to trick-or-treat) or I've been doing things with friends. Tonight I'm spending time with my mom and brother, giving out candy, and watching a collection of horror films--I'm pretty ecstatic about it, as nerdy as it may sound. I wanted to share my favorite Halloween/ horror films with you guys. So sit back, turn out the lights, and be prepared to get scared. Stay spooky! :)

Hello lovelies!

I'm getting my senior pictures done tomorrow and, like I promised, these are the outfits I'll be wearing (I think)! I didn't link some of the clothes because they're pretty basic pieces that you can find anywhere. I also took the ACTs today (for the third time..) and I know i did terribly :[ Even though it was my third time taking it, I had an anxiety attack and ended up psyching myself out for basically the whole thing. Last time i took it I got a 24 and I wanted to get a 28 or higher. Hopefully I'll be able to take it again (i want to score higher!). 

On the plus side, i'm going to a haunted house tonight with my family so that should be fun! I LOVE going to haunted houses, so i'm really excited. Hope you are all having a great weekend.

Hello lovlies!

I've been wanting to get me a pair of thigh high socks and when I found these at Forever21 I couldn't pass them up! I also found this cardigan while thrift shopping this past weekend and for only $6(!!) how could i say no? It's so soft, comfy and warm! The weather wouldn't make up its mind on if it wanted to be hot or cold, so I thought this would be a perfect outfit to wear. I also want to direct your attention to these amazing boots from Boohoo. They're so wonderful and trendy and I just love them. If you're looking to pick up some good boots that won't cost you a fortune, I would highly recommend Boohoo's boots! Also, if you were wondering, i'm starting to kind of like my hair. It's still dark for my liking, but its getting there. This weekend I'm getting my senior pictures taken, so sometime this week I hope to have a lookbook type of thing up about the outfits I plan on wearing (i have a feeling this outfit will be among them). I hope you are all having a great day/ week!

Hello lovelies!

I ordered these amazing boots from Boohoo last week and they came in yesterday! They are so comfy and on trend so i'm very excited to have them. My outfit today was pretty casual, but really comfy. Also, you may notice that I dyed my hair. In all honesty, I hate it. I showed my hairdresser a picture of Clemence Posey's hair when it was a darkish blonde and told her that was how I wanted it. Obviously it did not turn out a darkish blonde. It is way too dark for my liking. On that note, I'm never getting my hair done there again ahaha. So, in the meantime, I'm trying to embrace it and pretend that i was on ANTM and Tyra Banks gave me this makeover so I will try my best to make it work. I miss my blonde hair a lot, so I'll probably dye it back towards the end of November or beginning of January.

RIGHT AS RAIN

Hello lovelies! It's been forever since i've posted seeing as I've been busy with school- senior year is having me stressed already! But I want to get back into the groove of blogging, so i'll be posting more (hopefully)! 

My weather app said it was supposed to be in the 70s today, but it was pretty cold this morning. I decided to throw on my leather jacket that I got from Target (for only $10- what a steal?!) I can't wait until it starts getting cooler, I mean it's October -where's the cold?!? I'm already looking forward to styling sweaters and whatnot. Halloween season is my favorite after all!

Enjoy two selfies I snapped this morning before school. I'm getting my hair dyed on Saturday (FINALLY!) because my roots are terrible, as you can see in the pictures. I'm thinking about going slightly darker, although how much darker I'm not sure. Also, I'm getting my senior pictures done in a couple of weeks so I'm looking forward to that, even though I have no idea how to pose in front of a camera, as you can also tell from the pictures haha. I've been watching America's Next Top Model for just about ever, but even Tyra can't help me /:

THE KIMONO

 Today I had a college visit so I wanted to wear an outfit that showed my style and that I could easily walk around a campus in.  I originally planned on wearing the black shirt and shorts with my Harry Potter time turner necklace I got from this etsy shop but at last minute I changed my mind. I paired my first choice of outfit (minus the necklace) with this amazing kimono that I thrifted from Playto's Closet, originally from Forever21, awhile back (it was only $6 can you believe it?!). I forgot I had it until I was rummaging through my closet trying to see if I had a cardigan/sweater because it was actually kind of chilly today. My favorite perfume was a must today. If you haven't had the chance to get a whiff of this perfume, I highly recommend you do so- it smells fantastic. 

TOPSHOP WISHLIST

Topshop is a brand that I've marveled at from afar. I really love most of the clothing they put out but being a student, and not having a job (unfortunately) I never have the money to purchase anything from there. Some of my favorite blogs have made wishlists of brands of clothing so I thought- why not? I also posted this to my Polyvore account, so follow me there if you want! 

Marigold Print Culotte Jumpsuit  : When I was looking at the Topshop website I kept coming across this piece and couldn't decide if I liked it. But, of course, in the end I really ended up loving it. I think it has a really unique pattern to it since it's not your basic floral pattern. I also really love the culotte fit because I feel like it's something that petite people (like myself) can wear. What really sold it to me in the end though was that it reminded me of what my favorite character wore in one of my favorite Nancy Drew games. Beatrice Hotchkiss. 

Coat  : So, I noticed that Topshop has a "petite" shopping section and let me tell you- it can be a lifesaver. Some coats can overwhelm a petite frame but I think this one would work. I've been on the lookout for a trench coat and I really like this one. 

MOTO Cord Pinafore Dress : OHMYGOD. I absolutely love this dress. I've also been on the lookout for a dress like this and when I saw it I knew it would make the wishlist. 

MOTO True Blue Joni Jeans  : It's incredibly hard for me to find a pair of skinny jeans that fit and I've heard a lot of great things about the Joni jeans and they had a couple of pairs in the petite section so I had to check them out. 

MOTO Oversized Western Jacket  : Another thing I've been on the search for. A denim jacket. It's not that they're hard to find, but it's that I've yet to find one that I actually like. The Topshop website had a pretty good selection of both light and dark wash denim jackets. I ended up randomly choosing between the two because I liked them both haha. 

Cord Button Front A-Line Skirt : Once I stop drooling over this skirt I'll let you know. This is an INCREDIBLE  skirt. The color, the fit. It's perfect. 

Striped Long Sleeve Tee Dress  : I LOVE stripes and this dress is wonderful. 

BAT Cleated Shoe Boots  : I've been on the hunt for a pair of boots like this and these are amazing. They're at a price that wouldn't break my wallet so I might have to actually buy them :)
